McKinney, TX (Jan 19, 2017) – Network Testing Solutions: SIP/RTP Interface
Developing Solutions announced the addition of the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)/Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) Interface Application to its suite of IMS testing support interface applications in dsTest. SIP is one of the 3GPP signaling protocols, utilizes the Session Description Protocol (SDP), and is a part of the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture.
The addition of this functionality to dsTest, which already supports IMS interfaces such as Rx, Cx/Dx, Sh/Dh, Ro/Gy, and Rf/Gz, further enhances dsTest’s features and end-to-end testing capabilities within the 3G/4G/5G core networks.
dsTest runs on several distributions of Linux and is designed to take advantage of the latest processor and virtualization technology available with COTS hardware in order to provide high performance and capacity. Wireless Service Providers and Network Equipment Manufacturers rely on dsTest to test performance, compliance, and reliability of their network devices and architectures. dsTest is accompanied by the dsClient graphic user interface (GUI), which allows easy configuration and control of the tool, and provides live operational measurements monitoring in chart or tabular form.
