Developing Solutions today announced the addition of the RANAP/IuPS stack to dsTest. IuPS provides the interface between the UMTS RNC (Radio Network Controller) and the SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node), supporting UMTS integrated services such as multimedia and global roaming to mobile users. The addition of this interface to dsTest further enhances dsTest’s features and testing capabilities within the 3G and 4G core networks. The IuPS Interface Application, along with existing dsTest 3G/4G interface applications, provides dsTest users with comprehensive UTRAN and EUTRAN testing capability.
The RANAP Interface Application includes support of the RANAP Elementary Procedures as defined in 3GPP standards TS 25.413, along with the general principles defined in TS 25.410, and signaling transport as defined in TS 25.412.

dsTest runs on several distributions of Linux and is designed to take advantage of the latest processor and virtualization technology available with COTS hardware in order to provide high performance and capacity.
