The table below contains the Transactions Per Second (TPS) to Packets Per Second (PPS) Multipliers for use with dsTest interface applications and user plane traffic. One transaction is defined as one request message and one response message.
TCP control packets and data packets without payload are not counted as part of the Packets/Transaction multiplier.
Use the appropriate multiplier when determining the TPS to be licensed and when configuring resources/capacity of data links.
(including Non-IP Data over User Plane)
|Data Pass Thru||100|
|ReSTFUL Network APIs||2|
|Data over NAS (Non-IP Data)||2|
For example, 100 GTP-U packets with TCP = 1 TPS. If the Device Under Test (DUT) is surrounded by dsTest, sending 50 PPS and receiving 50 PPS on both sides of the DUT that would count as 2 TPS.
