Subscriber database referenced by a node

All information associated with mobile subscribers which is required for service provisioning, identification, authentication, authorization, routing, call handling, GPRS mode transmission, charging, subscriber tracing, and network operations and maintenance purposes.

A node may only be associated with one database at a time. Any reference to a different database associated with a node will result in the node releasing its association with the current database, and associating itself with the newly referenced database. This should not be done while the node is active.

When two nodes use the same name for their database, the database is actually shared between them, thus using the exact same configuration. (by default, two nodes on the same server will share a single database.) It is not recommended for clients and servers of the same interface to share a database, and will result in authentication failures due to synchronization.
